BBRAVE LEADERS ARE NEVER SILENT AROUND HARD THINGS” - Brené Brown

Our communities need COURAGEOUS leadership now more than ever! The work in front of us toward inclusive and just organizations is HEART work and demands a high level of BRAVE leadership.

Through an intensive, interactive, updated 24-hour Dare to Lead™course we will help you become a braver leader as you learn and practice the four empirically-proven skill sets of courageous leadership that are teachable, measurable, and observable:

Rumbling with Vulnerability: Facing risk, uncertainty, and emotional exposure with courage and clarity.

Living into our Values: Identifying, operationalizing, and practicing the beliefs that we hold most important.

Braving Trust: Creating or deepening connections in relationships and teams based on the seven elements of trust

Learning to Rise: Learning and growing from the failures, setbacks, and disappointments that are inevitable when we are brave with our lives.

Our open workshops become cohort-based where individuals learn, practice, and apply the core tenets of the new Dare to Lead™ curriculum in a mutually supportive, mutually accountable inclusive community of authentic self and belonging.

Each of the core tenets of Dare to Lead™ are facilitated with an explicit emphasis on DEIB principles and practices requiring participants to choose courage over comfort!

What People Are Saying

“Jennifer is a strong facilitator, gifted at drawing out all participants into the conversation, making space for the conversation to evolve, and weaving these discussions into the content. Also, moving this online was no easy feat and she did so humbly and skillfully.”

— Dare to Lead™ certification course participant, December 2020

“The sessions were designed for the participants to be the content. The facilitators modeled the main ideas of the course in each session and gave space for participants to make meaning and express their perspectives. The group was able to build a strong container and a brave space.”

— Dare to Lead™ certification course participant, August 2020

“Jennifer deserves tremendous kudos for how she facilitated this group. Many in the cohort were accomplished facilitators and deeply engaged in the diversity and inclusion world, myself included. Jennifer opened the space to consider the important DTL teachings and lessons with the overlay of how those fit into the current pressing issues of our day relating to systemic racism and other isms. She actually extended our class by a session, because the conversations got very deep and involved beyond the course material where the group felt the material did not go far enough in these areas. She was authentic, vulnerable, supportive and knowledgeable. Thank you for this opportunity.”

– Dare to Lead™ certification course participant, December 2020

“I loved the strength Dr. Wiley had with race, equity and inclusion. She created conditions that allowed for people to remove their armor and be their authentic selves. That is a gift as a facilitator. I want to take the class again.”

— Dare to Lead™ certification course participant, August 2019

“I loved the spaces where we could connect & share with new people. I loved the times we could discuss & practice the concepts we were being taught. And I especially loved that these concepts were usable tools to improve who I am & how I deal with others, both professionally & personally.”

— Dare to Lead™ certification course participant, March 2021

“EVERYTHING. This course has impacted me both professionally and personally. Jennifer created a safe space where I felt comfortable to show up as my authentic self every time. I have learned tools that I will take with me for the rest of my life. I feel so grateful to have taken this course now, during the first year of my career.”

— Dare to Lead™ certification course participant, March 2021

“Jennifer was fantastic! She responded to feedback (on our exit slips) immediately; meaning she changed course when we needed to go deeper on certain topics. She was dynamic, engaging and vulnerable herself. She was funny, relatable, and kind. She lives the content, and it shows. In terms of our group, we are different people leaving this training. We were closed off and not collaborative prior to this work. I see us now ready to show up, be vulnerable, rumble, having courageous conversations, and actually see and hear each other after this work. Thank you so much.”

– Dare to Lead™ certification course participant, March 2021

“Jennifer really met us where we were at as a team, slowed down when we needed more processing time and provided us with just in time supports. Since we were a team with a lot of new members, this was not a learning opportunity that we had choice in participating or not. I have the sense that some people started this work as unwilling participants. Despite that, I get the feeling that everyone left feeling more connected, with less armor and with newly acquired rumbling skills that I am already seeing people use.”
